Review sites that publish user-generated reviews are legally free to manipulate that content. Review sites are in the business of advertising sales; everything you do is tracked, fed to algorithms, and what you see is strategically placed. Relevancy and authenticity are suspect.
There is a better way that does not jeopardize integrity or reliability for businesses and consumers. A social utility should empower consumers and be a tool to discover and remember.
